Blogpost 6: Night Eating Disorder



Eating is one of our favorite talents we are good with. Eating has many advantages. It help us to release our stress mainly when we are wretched at some things, having a breakdown, or when we are happy. Being a teenager, I know most of us love eating different food.  At times, we even travel at every place as long as various foods are serving and suit our taste. However we need to limit ourselves in eating for the reason that there are also some disadvantages that cause it. Or even, it may lead to a “Disorder”


Based on the article i researched, “Night EatingSyndrome” by LyndeI Costain found out that The eating disorder Night Time Spree influences up to 2% of people and for them, it is a nightmare. Looking for  professional help from a doctor is important - they can also suggest people for more specialist help if needed. If you feel you have problems with night eating/night time binge eating and want to found a more regular eating pattern, it is best to make changes one step at a time and start with a calorie level that allows you to maintain your weight. Once you feel more in control of your eating, and have a regular eating rhythm, then calculate your calorie level for gradual and healthy weight loss and make the most of what WLR has to offer.

While it is more common among  people who are overweight, it also affects people in the healthy weight range” I think that it is most usual for us people who are more overweight leads to a  major health problems.
Another article that I researched also entitled “Night Eating Syndrome” by Susan Cowden. Night eating syndrome is a term used to describe a type of disordered eatingthat is described by uncontrolled or compulsive eating especially at night. This type of eating was first described in 1955 and was described as eating a division of your daily calories after the evening meal and experiencing sleeplessness. Although some people with night eating syndrome also experience weight gain and/or obesity as a result of their eating, this is not common. Because night eating syndrome is not known as a specific eating disorder, it is typically identified as "Eating disorder: not otherwise specified" when people look for treatment.    
In the stated article “Eating a quarter of your daily calories after the evening meal and experiencing sleeplessness” consuming a meal four times or more in night can affect your sleeping behavior or can cause insomnia which is not good for us to deal with.
Eating a lot can cause a various kinds or disorders. No matter how eating taste good, people should always limit their selves.  Especially behavioral changes that affect what we eat and why we eat. This leads to collecting information about what is healthy, what is not, what Is good or bad. and how to break the freedom to emotional eating. To begin with,  this can be hard on the person who will do this. But if they follow a well-thought-out plan, they can learn to add in a different change one choice at a time.
